Reflection of Thoughts
We may not be practicing telepathy, yet our thoughts get reflected automatically. That is why we like some persons at the very first glance and dislike some the same way. Likewise the other people form opinions about us. But it is something that cannot be proved so easily, though it can be felt and realized by all thoughtful persons. The following illustration will help us to understand the functioning of our unexpressed thoughts.
Once a King and his Prime Minister was taking a stroll in his kingdom. At one place there was a depot of a wood merchant. The merchant saw the king and the king also had a glance at the merchant. They were quite far away from each other. The king told his minister, ‘I feel like to hang this wood merchant.’. The minister smiled and they went on strolling. A few days after, again when they were strolling on the same road, the King and the merchant saw each other. Again the King commented, ‘I feel like to hang this merchant.’ The minister was surprised to hear the same comments again.
The minister pondered over the matter seriously. He could find no reason as to why the king made such a comment about the merchant. The merchant had not done anything, for which he could be punished. The minister thought of investing more.
One day he disguised himself as an ordinary person and went to the merchant. In a casual way, he started gossiping with the merchant. During the talks the merchant blurted out that he has a huge stock of Sandalwood in his godown. If it could be sold, he will become a rich man. But it will be solved only when a person of the strature of a king dies. He said that when he sees the king, he thinks of his stock of sandalwood and wishes that the king should die soon, so that his wood could be sold for his funeral.
The minister now understood the reason why the king thought of hanging this merchant, wheneve he looked at him. The wise minister managed to purchase all his sandalwood the very next day. Thereafter, he noticed that the King himself was surprised at his own thoughts as to why he wanted to hang that merchant. The minister just smiled.
