✦ A story about Kindness

Ant and the Grasshopper

On one sunny day, grasshopper saw an ant working tirelessly to gather food. He asked her, “Why are you working so hard to gather food. Come to my place and we will enjoy the sunny weather”. But the ant continued to work saying, “I am collecting food for upcoming winters as these sunny days won’t last long.” Grasshopper could not stop laughing and said “Winter is so far away.”

Within short span of time, winter came, the ant settled in her house with all the food she had gathered for winters. Grasshopper had nothing to eat and hide anywhere. He went to ant and begged for some food. “No”, replied the ant. Remember you laughed at me when I was working. You were singing in the summer. So, now you can have a dance in winter.

Moral: Idleness is a curse.
